Angela Holowaychuk

CEO | Director

Over the last 15 years, Mrs. Holowaychuk has found herself at the forefront of emerging technologies, holding senior management positions leading day to day operations, technical development teams and global expansion projects within the fintech, regtech and most recently, blockchain and Bitcoin exchange sectors.

Her expertise is building global operations and service channels from the ground up and working closely with legal and regulatory advisers, executives and technology specialists.

Mrs. Holowaychuk attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology for Operations and Supply Chain Management.

Yevgeniy Meshcherekov

Chief Finance Officer

Mr. Meshcherekov is a Chartered Professional Accountant with more than 15 years of management experience in industry and public practice. He has demonstrated financial and organizational leadership in the wealth management, blockchain technology and fintech sectors within operations spanning Canada, Europe and Asia.

Prior to joining Squire, Mr. Meshcherekov was Director of Finance of the nChain Group, a global leading blockchain research and development company. Previous to that he was Director of Finance of nTrust Technology Solutions Corp., a regulated money transfer platform which evolved into a Bitcoin wallet and exchange. He started his career and gained extensive experience through a Canadian audit firm providing tax, reporting and accounting assurance services to private and publicly traded companies.

Mr. Meshcherekov has board and committee level experience, having recently served a three year term on the board of a local not-for-profit organization.

Conrad Druzeta

General Counsel

Mr. Druzeta has joined Squire as its General Counsel. He is a former partner of Bennett Jones LLP where he was co-head of the Fintech and Blockchain Practice Group. Prior to that Mr. Druzeta was partner at another major Canadian law firm focused on mergers and acquisitions and public securities law.

Mr. Druzeta practices securities and corporate law specializing in capital markets transactions, securities regulation, capital raising and deployment, private equity and public and private mergers and acquisitions.

He currently also acts as a director of the Ontario Institute for Regenerative Medicine.

Joseph Chin

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Chin has joined Squire as its Chief Operating Officer. He is the former CEO of CoinGeek Mining and Hardware, one of the world’s largest Bitcoin mining operators. Prior to that, Mr. Chin spent over two decades building technology teams, data centers and voice/data networks for clients around the world.

Mr. Chin is a technology leader who specializes in operations management, security, and highly scalable mission-critical infrastructure. Mr. Chin attended the Simon Fraser University where he studied Computing Science and Geography.

Matthew Whitcomb

Head of Investor Relations

Matthew Whitcomb is most notably known for being a leader and advocate in the Blockchain and Fintech industries. Mr.Whitcomb has developed a strong understanding of major digital-assets specifically Bitcoin where he obtained the Certified Bitcoin Professional designation from the CryptoCurrency Certification Consortium.

His previous senior roles include COO of Canadian operations for Eastern Europe’s largest cryptocurrency services provider where he orchestrated a strategic investor that provided an LOI to purchase the entire global operations.

Prior to this Matthew was a Director and number 20 employee at Canada’s 2nd fastest growing company in 2018 and Canada’s leading platform for simple and secure trading of digital assets. The company grew to over 150 employees within 4 months of his starting date and raised more than $47 million over that time period.

Mr.Whitcomb studied Business and Finance in New York where he received a hockey scholarship along with being named team captain and achieving academic and athletic honours including Dean’s List, 1st Team All-American selection, and several other awards.

Stefan Matthews

Chairman | Director

Mr. Matthews has significant senior management and executive leadership experience totalling more than 30 years in the technology and on-line services sector, where he has been responsible for operations in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Spain, Malta and the United Kingdom at the levels of chief information officer, chief technology officer and chief executive officer. He has been actively involved in several initial public offerings (Australia and the United States) and multiple mergers and acquisitions.

In 2015, Mr. Matthews was a founder, and is currently the chairman, of the nChain Group, known for global leadership in blockchain and Bitcoin research. BMG, a division of the nChain Group, has a significant investment in Bitcoin BCH mining, operating a diversified fleet in multiple locations.

Mr. Matthews holds a bachelor of financial administration degree and an MBA (international business) from the University of New England.

Marco Strub

Director

Marco Strub has over 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur and executive in the financial services and consulting sectors.

Since March 2003, Mr. Strub has been the Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Sircon AG, a portfolio management company based in Zurich, Switzerland. Prior to this, Mr. Strub served as a Partner of Exulta AG from 1997 to 2003. He has been an Independent Director of numerous private and publicly listed companies, including Triumph Gold Corp and ZincX Resources Corp, listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.

Mr. Strub received a Master of Arts degree from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland in 1982.

Michael Cella

Director

Mr. Cella has over 30 years of corporate executive experience and has raised over $4 billion through private and public offerings for progressively larger and more complex companies.

Currently Mr. Cella acts as President of WCF Holding, LLC, a business, financial and project development advisory services firm. Prior to this he was a Director, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Global Alumina Corporation, a TSX-listed company formed to pursue a $5 billion dollar integrated bauxite mine and alumina refinery in the Republic of Guinea.

Mr. Cella received his Master of Management degree in Finance and Management Policy in 1980 from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School, Northwestern University.

Advisor

Dr. Craig S. Wright is an Australian/Antiguan computer scientist, businessman, and inventor who challenges the world with visionary ideas. Jimmy Nguyen

Jimmy Nguyen is a global advocate for Bitcoin SV, the only blockchain dedicated to the original “Satoshi Vision” of Bitcoin’s founder Satoshi Nakamoto. Jimmy is Founding President of the Bitcoin Association, the worldwide business organization for Bitcoin SV, and leads growth of BSV’s global ecosystem. He is the former CEO of nChain Group, the worldwide leader in advisory, research and development of blockchain technologies, and now is Chair of its Strategic Advisory Board.

Before joining nChain, Jimmy was an intellectual property and digital technology lawyer for 21 years; over the course of his legal career, Jimmy was a partner at three major U.S. law firms – most recently Davis Wright Tremaine LLP – and his clients ranged from multinational corporates to emerging technology companies across diverse sectors. He is former Chair of the State Bar of California’s Intellectual Property Law Section and Co-Chair of the California Minority Counsel Program. Lawdragon named Jimmy (in 2008, at only age 36) one of the “500 Leading Lawyers in America” and described him as a “dynamo talent.”

Kevin Turner

Mr. Turner has over 30 years of business experience. He is currently the President and CEO of Core Scientific, Inc., a leader in infrastructure and software solutions for artificial intelligence and blockchain technology, the Vice Chairman of Albertsons/Safeway and a member of the board of directors of Nordstrom. Mr. Turner was previously the Vice Chairman of Citadel LLC and the Chief Executive Officer of Citadel Securities. He served as Microsoft’s Chief Operating Officer from 2005 to 2016, where he led the company’s global sales, marketing and services and support organization of 55,000+ employees in more than 190 countries. Under his leadership, the sales and marketing group grew the company from US$35 billion to over US$91.9 billion in revenue in fiscal 2016.

Prior to Microsoft, Mr. Turner spent nearly 20 years at Wal‐Mart Stores, where he rose through the ranks and was named the youngest corporate officer ever at Wal‐Mart at age 29. He held various leadership positions at Wal‐Mart including becoming the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Wal‐Mart Stores, Inc.
